Forever And For Always

I spent the last two hours reading the final book of Fruits Basket. I have been reading this series for six years. (it was released over a span of eight years)
From the beginning, I have known it would be tear filled, sad, happy, hilarious, and just a bit odd.
But it was also inspirational.
It taught me things that you can only learn on your own. It wasn't cliche or one of those silly romances that don't happen in real life.
Granted, humans turning into the 13 members of the Chinese zodiac doesn't happen in real life. However, their struggles, falling in love, betrayal, hate, anger, death, life, worrying over the future.
EVERYTHING they went through, was like drinking a warm cup of hot chocolate and asking for extra marshmallows. Hot and Sweet. Scalding on the tongue at times, but rewarding from the sweet taste.
I am sad to see it go.
It has been my guiding light for six years. Teaching me that the future is scary, love doesn't always go as planned, and sometimes, you just need a friend.
Tonight, when I look at my collection of the books, I'll probably cry. I'll sit curled up in front of my bookcase and just cry. Not because I'm sad, or angry that it's over.
But because I'm happy.
The ending was so, so very wonderful to see. I can't even explain what it feels like, to have watched them grow from what they were at book one and to where they are now, in book 22.
I can only smile and laugh and cry.
Because only I can feel those feelings. You can feel them to, just in your own way.
I know it's just a silly manga series. To you, that's what it will seem like.
But to me, it's a world someone created in there mind, that has touched the hearts of millions all over the world.
So I ask you only to take this with you when you finished reading:
It's never really 'over'.
There is never and End, only new Beginnings.

And with that said. I leave you now. Go read the series. Go laugh and cry and feel invigorated after you've read it.
The choice is up to you.
